Set up your business in MiridiaRecording coming soon

This tutorial takes you from a new account to a business that is ready for products and orders.

What you need

  • An email address that you can open now.
  • The details of your business: the name, a phone number, an email address, and the main address.
  • The email address of one colleague.

Steps

Create your account

Open the sign-up page of the portal. Enter your name, your email address, and a password of at least 8 characters. Enter the details of your business and its address. Accept the terms, and submit the form.

Miridia creates three things for you: an organisation, your first business in it, and your user. You are the owner of the organisation. Read Concepts to learn how organisations and businesses differ.

Verify your email address

Miridia sends a verification message to your email address. Open the message and select the link. Then log in to the portal.

If the message does not arrive, look in your spam folder. The message comes from the Miridia notification address.

Complete the business profile

Open the business settings. Make sure that the display name, the registered name, the registration number, the email address, and the phone number are correct. Customers can see some of these values on documents, for example on an invoice.

Add a location

A location is a physical site: a warehouse, a storefront, a factory, or an office. Stock, transfers, receipts, and production all belong to a location.

Open the locations page and add a location. Give it:

  • A title, for example "Durban Warehouse".
  • A short code, for example DBN-WH1.
  • A location type, for example Warehouse.
  • The address.

Add a second location now if you have one. You need two locations for the Replenish a branch tutorial.

Invite a team member

Open the team page and invite a colleague. Enter the email address and select one or more roles. For example, select Manager for a supply chain manager, or Accountant for a finance user.

Your colleague gets an invitation message. After they set a password, they appear as an active team member. Read Users and roles to learn what each role can do.
